The evolution of HD Wall Art

HD Wall Art was the brainchild of two friends that have always had an interest in wildlife photography and how that can be best realised in the modern digital world. Working with old slides from childhood holidays in southern Africa started the belief that sublimation printing could take photographs beyond what canvas could do, and place onto a medium which was far closer to the picture the photographer saw when they took the shot.

Working with artists and photographers aids us to produce high quality art for everyone. Our partnership with ChromaLuxe and WhiteWall ensures that each piece of art meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Robert (Photographer)

Robert grew up in South Africa with a family those pursuits were making the most of the wild outdoors. Inspired by his father, an avid bird photographer, he garnered an early interest in photographing animals in the wild on a variety of slide cameras starting with his very own Leica M2 using Kodachrome Transparency.

Until recent times many of those original slides were thought lost, but now through modern technology and digital scanning we can bring some of those slides back to their former glory and tell the tales of those animals photographed so many years ago.

Robert saw the need in the market to bring all photographer’s pictures to life and showcase their work using the technology of sublimation, and is working within the industry to partner with artists and other photographers to provide these images to everyone.

Rob (Digital Artist)

Rob started out life in the IT industry before realising his real calling within nature and wildlife, never more at home than with the great outdoors around him. He took his experiences specialist hardware and software into digital artistry.

A digital artist creates art by using computer software and digital tools. He has honed his art into the reproduction into digital media of slides and negatives from ages past, providing a necessary tool to preserve pictures from those forgotten times.

Drawing on highly technical skills in understanding media formats and techniques, with the creativity and imagination to interpret the images as the original photographer saw them allow us to provide these pictures to you at the highest possible quality whilst retaining as much originality as possible.
